The sad thing is that they are given the protection of the law until they actually do something. For instance, an elderly woman was prosecuted for shoving an intruder out her window as he was climbing in because he wasn't in her house yet. And a man sued (and won) when the second-story external stairs he was standing on collapsed as he was trying to break into an upstairs door.

They no longer have that protection in Kentucky. We used to have to worry about all that waiting for them to do something. Now all they need to do is "try" to get in.

And that is what I wish we had in our laws. I think what the intentions are and activities at the time have everything to do with whether a person should win or lose. Criminals should never be winners in the judiciary and when they are it is a sign the judiciary has lost its sense of purpose.

The bad guys brought this law on themselves. Some of them like to tie the men up and do things to the women where the man has to watch.

I have absolutely no favour or sympathy for criminals. They don't deserve to be in society (the really bade ones at least) and why our government goes head over heels to protect their rights (thanks to the EU) is disgusting and a kick in the face to the victims. I wish some of the US law was european law.
