What You Need to Know about Vitamins for Energy

This is one of the most powerful energy enhancing "nutrients" out there, and yet not many are aware of it. Most people using vitamins for energy would be really surprised at the boost NADH would give them. NADH is often used for chronic fatigue. How it works is rather complicated, but here's the short answer of what it is and how it works:

NADH is a substance (a form of coenzyme) that is naturally present in our body's cells. Each NADH utilizes glucose (our body's fuel that we obtain from food) to create 3 units of ATP energy. ATP energy is what runs many of the body's processes, such as moving our muscles, and the like.

The following are some precautions that you should be aware of before taking any of the aforementioned vitamins for energy (or herbs and other nutrients).

People who are already on other blood thinners (aspirin, for example) should first consult a qualified health practitioner before taking Gingko biloba since it, too, is a blood thinning agent...and a combination of the two can thin the blood too much.

Folic Acid should not be taken unless the very rare condition of "pernicious anemia" is ruled out first by a physician. Folic acid can mask symptoms of Vitamin B12 deficiency, which can lead to some serious problems, such as nerve damage. That's why many experts on nutritional supplements always advise that Folic Acid be taken together with Vitamin B12.
