I am so excited!!!

I really need to start my own blog thread so I have a place to put this kind of stuff. But I really wanted to share. I spent a week staying at my mom's house where there was ice cream and cake and candy and chips and you name it! Everyone had dessert after dinners. I went out to dinner twice, and went to my sister's wedding/reception. I came home and I am actually DOWN 2lbs! I resisted all the evil temptations. I watched people eat gluttonously around me at the reception. I didn't even have a piece of wedding cake! No alcohol, no sugar, no junk food! I am so glad that my trips and the wedding is all done and I can try to get back to normal life. I have been so busy, I feel pretty disconnected. I am happy to be cooking for myself again! I had some emotional times worrying about whether I would cave in and eat the sweets. But it all was worth the satisfaction I feel now knowing that I was successful!
