It has been reported that Margaret Thatcher is to get a full state funeral costing the taxpayer £3,000,000. Why? She destroyed much of British industry in her time, was thrown out of office for the poll tax fiasco and hated by the majority of the country!! It is no wonder that people begrudge paying their taxes when they are going to be frittered away on such bollox as this!! I will need to work 2000 years just to cover this out of my wages. It is just taking the piss out of the general public.
Why is she being honoured at all?

I understand your annoyance, but can you really expect anything else? Her position dictates this sort of honor, and it's certainly not the first or even best example of wasteful government spending. If she didn't get a full state funeral, well, correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't that be a huge decision for a former PM? I doubt she has much say on this topic in any case. She probably also has security that the taxpayers are paying for, just like former presidents (even "disgraced" presidents) in the US.
I'm not saying she deserves it. Just, well, what do you expect?

No. It belongs to Argentina. Britain does not have legal claim over the land. Only the people are British. They have British citizenship. The land belongs to Argentina.
